Traffic regulations prohibit making a U-turn in level crossings, in tunnels, in underpasses and sections of road affected by the "Tunnel" sign (S-5), as well as on motorways and dual carriageways except in designated places, and, in general, in all sections of road in which overtaking is prohibited, unless there is express authorization for the U-turn.
